Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-02
What this is
These terms govern your use of Osmosis (the iOS app and any related services). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Your account
You're responsible for the security of your account. Don't share your sign-in credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and let us know.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Osmosis. If you're under 18, please use the service with a parent's permission.
Your content
Anything you save into Osmosis · quotes, reflections, tags · is yours. We don't claim ownership.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely so the service can work · running spaced-repetition scheduling, surfacing patterns across your fragments, etc. This license is revoked when you delete the content or your account.
You're responsible for what you save. If you save content that belongs to someone else (a copyrighted quote, for example), you represent that your use is permitted (e.g. fair use). We'll respond to valid takedown requests.
Acceptable use
Don't use Osmosis to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm anyone
- Violate someone's intellectual property rights
- Distribute malware or attempt to compromise the service
- Reverse-engineer the app or attempt to extract other users' data
- Build a competing service from data you obtain through Osmosis
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The service is provided “as is”
We try to make Osmosis reliable and useful, but we provide it without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs. Use it at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Osmosis is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a material change that significantly limits your use, we'll give you reasonable notice via email or in-app.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your data · there's no recovery.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for legal reasons. We'll give you advance notice when we can.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top whenever we change these terms. For material changes, we'll notify you in advance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION TO BE DETERMINED]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [VENUE TO BE DETERMINED].
(Placeholder. Counsel will set jurisdiction + venue based on Osmosis's home country.)
